The most respected actor of 'Marathi Film Industry' "Nana Patekar" and most loved Bollywood actor by Marathi audience "Ajay Devgn" has joined hands for co-producing Marathi thriller film along with filmmaker 'Abhinav Shukla'.
This will be "Ajay Devgn's" second Marathi film as producer, his first was periodic drama titled "Vitti Dandu" directed by 'Ganesh Kadam'.
The upcoming untitled Nana Patekar starrer film will be directed by 'Satish Rajwade' who has previously directed Marathi thriller titled "Gair" and superhit film like "Premachi Goshta", "Mumbai Pune Mumbai" series and "Ti Saddhya Kay Karte".
The story of the untitled film will revolve around lead actor which will played "Nana Patekar" and other stars from Marathi film industry will also be playing important role in the film.
The Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar co-produce film shooting will start in few months.
"Natsamrat: Asa Nat Hone Nahi !" (नटसम्राट :असा नट होणे नाही ) an upcoming film is adaptation of Marathi Classic Play (Natak) with the name "Natsamrat", which was written by late Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar (Pen Name: Kusumagraj), it was an adaptation from one of the William Shakespeare tragedy King Lear.
The play was debuted on stage in 70s and from than it has turned out to be milestone of "Marathi Theater".
In the span of 40 years the lead role of this Classic Play has been performed by various talented actors like Dr. Shreeram Lagoo, Satish Dubhashi, Upendra Date, Yashwant Dutt, Chandrakant Gokhale, Madhusudan Kolhatkar, Datta bhat and Raja Gosavi., and now in its cinematic version the iconic character 'Ganpat Ramchandra Belvalkar' will be performed by excellent actor "Nana Patekar".
The movie is directed by Actor-Director "Mahesh Vaman Manjrekar" and produce by Nana Patekar and Vishwas Joshi under banner Gajanan Chitra, Fincraft Media & Entertainment PVT. LTD. and Great Maratha Entertainment Production.
The other important role in the film are played by Medha Manjrekar as Nana's wife, Neha Pendse as Daughter in law, Vikram Gokhale as friend, Mrunmayee Deshpande as Daughter, Ajit Parab as son and Sunil Barve as son in law.
