Priya Bapat’s look in Asambhav marks a striking transformation, unlike anything in her previous work. , showcasing an extraordinary makeover. She plays a 75-year-old woman, and to make this seemingly "impossible" transformation convincing on screen, she dedicated nearly three and a half hours every day to makeup. Her commitment has left viewers stunned.
Reflecting on her character, Priya says, "As an actor, there’s always a hunger to attempt something new. Getting to portray two completely different ages within the same role was a rare and thrilling challenge." In her portrayal of Sadhana Saigal, she embodied both a 35-year-old woman and a 75-year-old elderly lady—bringing to life two distinct phases of the same character.
Priya explains that while makeup transformed her appearance, capturing the physicality and voice of someone much older demanded intense preparation. "Standing before the camera in such a completely transformed look was a remarkable experience," she shares. “How does a 75-year-old woman walk? What does her voice sound like? How does her posture change? I observed, studied, and rehearsed these details tirelessly.”
For Priya, mentally transporting herself into that age was an incredible journey—one she completed with absolute commitment.
