Priyanka Chopra's next Marathi production titled 'Paani'

Priyanka Chopra recently announced her fourth production venture in Marathi language, titled Paani. The actress, who is backing the film under her production banner Purple Pebble Pictures, took to Twitter to share the news. the film will mark the directorial debut of actor Adinath Kothare, son of veteran actor and filmmaker Mahesh Kothare.

He will also star in the film along with Rucha Vaidya, Subodh Bhave, Kishor Kadam, Girish Joshi and Rajit Kapur.

Paani is a love story that deals with the issue of drought in Marathwada. "Inspired by the true story of a common man and his village, Nagdarwadi, situated in the drought-prone Marathwada region of Maharashtra; the film is a beautifully woven tale of human struggle and true love, and aims to drive home a key message, critical to the world we live in today," said an official statement from the makers.



The Production house shared logo of the film on twitter. Before Paani, Priyanka Chopra's production banner Purple Pebble Pictures has produced Marathi film which include Ventilator (2016), Kay Re Rascala (2017), and Firebrand, which will be released this year.
